The Malaysia Arrival Card (MDAC) is a paper form used to record personal and travel information of incoming passengers. It is a mandatory entry document required by the Malaysian customs department for incoming travelers to fill out.
All foreign travelers heading to Malaysia (including tourists, business travelers, transit passengers, etc.) typically need to fill out the MDAC upon arrival.
You can apply for the MDAC within 3 days before your travel, or you can submit your application earlier, but you will still receive your MDAC within 2 days before your entry.
The "within 3 days before travel" includes the day of travel. For example, if you are traveling on January 5th, you will receive your MDAC no earlier than January 3rd.
The MDAC usually includes basic personal information such as name, nationality, passport number, date of birth, as well as travel information such as expected duration of stay, destination, and purpose of travel.
After filling out the MDAC, you will receive the arrival card in PDF format via email. Please print this document and carry it with you during your travel for possible inspection or use.
When applying for the MDAC and entering Malaysia, your passport must be valid for more than 6 months.
